Second moon-candidate outside our Solar System
On January 13, 2022 a paper in Nature Astronomy announced the second ever exomoon-candidate, Kepler-1708 b-i. The research was led by Prof. David Kipping at Columbia University, and one of the 9 co-authors is Prof. Szulagyi, who hypothesized bout the origin of this moon in the article.

Prof. Judit Szulagyi has become an associate faculty of the ETH AI Center
From October 2021, Prof. Szulagyi has become an associate faculty of the ETH AI Center, thus the research group joined the center.
Welcome our new group member
We warmly welcome Postdoc Ameya Prabhu. He joined our group as a postdoc on Sep 1st, 2021 to carry out hydrodynamical simulations of planet formation.
European Astronomical Society prizes 2021
The European Astronomical Society awarded its most prestigious prizes as the Merac prizes during its annual meeting held virtually from 28 June to 2 July 2021. Judit Szulagyi was awarded with the MERAC Prize 2021.

Circumplanetary Disks and Satellite Formation II Conference, March 15-17, 2021
After a successful Circumplanetary Disks I. conference in 2018 March in Nagoya, Japan, it is time to gather again the community. Due to the COVID situation, instead of a conference in Zurich, we will have a virtual conference on Zoom. Posters will be presented on Slack.
